To KCIR With Racing Legends
Expanded ’08 Event Follows Up Huge Kansas City Debut
With Garlits, Legends of Speed, and More Racing
The Musclecar Reunion is turning up the heat. Building on last year’s overwhelming
success, this don’t-miss event returns to Kansas City International Raceway for
three big days, October 3-5, 2008 with more fire-breathing racing than ever.
“Big Daddy” Don Garlits is back displaying a genuine Swamp Rat dragster, and he’s
bringing his friends. Garlits will headline the Musclecar Reunion’s exclusive
“Legends of Speed”, a showcase of drag racing’s legendary cars and incomparable
drivers who blazed a trail of racing history. Come meet the drivers and watch them
in earth-shaking action.
But there’s much more high-revving action at the Musclecar Reunion, including:
• Nostalgia Pro Comp Assn. National Event, including front engine dragsters, funny cars,
altereds, and gassers
• Nostalgia Super Stockers rocking the house in big-cube, old-school style
• Hot Rod Eliminator featuring wild blast-from-the-past 1958 & earlier machines
• Musclecar Eliminator, where heavy-hitters from 1959-1974 let it all hang out
• Trophy class, where cars and drivers of varying levels compete
As racers duke it out for cash payouts, 1974-and-older show cars bring lots of fun
to attendees. The swap meet gives car builders a chance to find needed parts for
their projects. It’s an ideal place to park, relax, and take in the wonderful
weekend with the family. |
